Dhangadhi: The 304th Prithvi Jayanti and National Unity Day was celebrated with grandeur in Dhangadhi. Sunday the event was organized by Prithvi Path Pratisthan Dhangadhi to commemorate the contributions of King Prithvi Narayan Shah.
As part of the program, a morning rally was held from Prithvi Narayan Chowk to Birendra–Aishwarya Garden. Various activities were organized throughout the day at the garden premises, including cultural performances, recitation of Divya Upadesh, and exhibition stalls featuring books and badges. Prasad of Guru Gorakhnath’s Khichadi was also distributed to the participants, according to the organizers.
Prithvi Path Pratisthan Dhangadhi coordinator Rachit Shah stated that the celebration concluded with an evening lamp-lighting ceremony. He emphasized that the present generation must understand the importance of the nation unified by King Prithvi Narayan Shah.
Shah further remarked that the country unified by Prithvi Narayan Shah is now divided into seven provinces, posing challenges to national unity. He said the program aimed to convey a message to the youth to unite and take responsibility for safeguarding the nation.
The program witnessed the notable presence of religious leader Acharya Srinivas, along with individuals from various sectors, youths, and members of the general public.
